There are many aspects of our website that give our clients a good feel for what kind of photography we specialize in, and yet we've never added a section (on the website) for albums. After all, the album is one aspect of our wedding collections, so why not show that off, right?!! (I can almost feel the excitement from here) I know you're all thinking,"it's just an album", but until you actually place your hands on these fine art leather albums, please just try and live vicariously through my excitement...
It is looking like we'll be making the site live in the coming weeks and we're so excited for everyone to check it out! Keep your eyes here on the blog for an announcement... hopefully sooner than later!
Well we're finally back from our trip out west and while it was a great, great trip we're glad to be back. I've had quite a few emails asking what in the world WPPI is... well, it stands for Wedding and Portrait Photographers International and basically it's a huge convention for photographers. There are countless speakers/photographers to learn from, the latest albums, software, lenses, lighting gear (you name it) and all in the middle of Las Vegas. Talk about sensory overload! It was estimated that there were well over 15,000 photographers this year and while we ran into many of our old friends every now and then, it was great to make new friends as well.
You know the saying, "the cobbler's children don't have shoes?" well, Courtney gets on me for that... basically I went to a photography convention and hardly took any pictures! I know, I know. We did manage to take two shots though... :)
This first one is from the exclusive Nikon pre-party event (Blues Traveler performed) The photo is a bit blurry... funny how professional photographers somehow manage to make a blurry "point and shoot" photo! Apparently it's also late (still adapting from East Coast time) 'cause this isn't the most flattering photo of the two of us... oh well, can't be "perfect" all the time, right? Haha!!
On the second to last day we were in Vegas we were able to meet up for dinner with our good friends Ray and Anna Santana... "goodtimes," right Ray? Speaking of Ray, he has a killer resource for photographers called ProPhotoHub. It's a great resource for every photographer (no matter what skill level) as it provides reviews on the latest updates for equipment, educational resources, interviews with industry professionals, and the list goes on!! Over the last year I've had the privilege of getting to know Ray and what I've come to understand is that he's one of the most genuine and caring people in the industry... he's making ProPhotoHub a great resource for photographers 'cause he's that kind of a guy, just "giving" in every way.
To all the photographers and friends that I didn't mention, you know who you are and we can't wait to connect again next year!!!!
For the next several days we'll be out of the office as we'll be hanging out with good friends and colleagues in Las Vegas for the 2009 WPPI Convention. Basically, it's a huge (think 15,000 plus photographers) convention where speakers give insights to how they run their business to the latest gadget that will "transform the industry"... goodtimes for sure.

I'm sure you're all interested in what I pack for an event such as this (if so, then "cue the stalker music"), so here's a start... now to figure out what to actually wear.
This past weekend we traveled south of Chapel Hill for Stacy and Timothy's gorgeous wedding at Fearrington Village. Every detail was beautifully perfected by Gilda McDaniel and her team. It was truly an honor to capture the weekend for Stacy and Timothy... what a great couple. I'm so very blessed to meet many different couples in this line of work, but rarely do you meet one that is so incredibly genuine in every aspect of their life. I find it hard to describe in words what an amazing couple Stacy and Timothy are... once you've met them, you know exactly what I'm saying.
Anyways, I feel like I'm gushing over my clients right now (I'm allowed, right?). Here's a few photos from their gorgeous wedding... more to come in the days ahead!
I love this moment... Stacy is taking it all in while Dad prepares himself for the processional.
Following the kiss, Timothy literally swept Stacy off her feet and carried her down the isle... it was great!
The Fearrington Barn where the reception was held... it was such a beautiful and rustic setting.
The band kept the crowd going all night...
Stacy and Timothy, thank you so much for having us as your photographers. It's been great getting to know you guys and we wish you guys the best in your new life together. :)
We tried a little something different at Stacy and Timothy's wedding this weekend... a photobooth! Everyone seemed to take right to it and we came out with some fun photos. Here's a quick show from their wedding... more photos to come later this week!
Please make sure your speakers are turned on.
