Grace Ormonde | Wedding Style

Monday, July 28, 2008  |  NEWS

Have you ever been so humbled to be a part of something that you just can't put it into words how you feel? Well, that's where I'm at for the moment.

Completely.
Speechless.

A few weeks back I was talking with my good buddy Ray Santana about a myriad of things, but one subject that kept surfacing was how incredible the team over at Grace Ormonde Wedding Style has been. If you're not familiar with G.O. Wedding Style, please allow me to briefly explain...

Grace Ormonde | Wedding Style is the nation's premier wedding magazine. Period.

Not only is it the magazine the classiest, sexiest, (yes, I said sexiest) resource for the upscale bride and groom, it is viewed by many as the industry standard in wedding publications and planning resources. Some of the best, most extravagant, and luxurious weddings in the world are planned using Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine as the ultimate resource.

So you can understand how absolutely honored and humbled I was when I received a call from the team at Wedding Style to be a part of the magazine. There are many incredible aspects that are in the works, but I'll update you on them as they draw near.

So again, a huge thanks goes out to my buddy Ray Santana for all the countless phone calls and encouragement. There should be more guys like you in this world. And to the staff at Wedding Style... I'm truly honored.

quick coldplay concert... (say that five times fast)

Monday, July 28, 2008  |  PERSONAL

This weekend involved quite a bit of driving (up to Philadelphia) but as they say, it was "for a good cause." Ok, maybe there wasn't much of a cause involved but I had a blast hanging out with my brother in law for the weekend. Oh, and did I mention we got to see Coldplay???? Courtney and I had seen them in concert a few years back and absolutely loved their show and now, (fast forward a few years) the show was that much better. Absolutely unbelievable. I guess the box seats didn't hurt too much either. :) (Thanks for taking care of everything Kyle... that was a great show, great seats... couldn't have been any better)

As for the show itself, I wasn't too fond of their latest album for several reasons, but once I heard it live I can't get it out of my head. The entire show was incredibly interactive with video streams projected in hanging balloons (you have to see it to understand) and the band even played from the back of the stadium with all the fans gathered around... so awesome. If you haven't already purchased their latest album, enter the little contest I have running to get a $10 iTunes gift card so that you have a chance of picking it up.

Here's a quick recap of the day... enjoy!

I'm not a videographer, I just play one on tv.

our little man...

Thursday, July 24, 2008  |  PERSONAL

Well, if you're a faithful follower of this blog you'll notice that we've been a bit busy, hence the lack of posts. Don't worry though, we're back up and running and this little guy has been at my side with every step I take. There's much to update you on in the coming days (and a fairly large announcement for the "biz" thrown in the mix) so keep your eyes here and we'll keep you posted.

Just for fun, I'll run a little contest for the next week. Winner gets a $10 iTunes gift card... that's right, ten buckeroos. Hey, it'll buy you that new disk you've had your eyes on!

Leave a comment below and let me know the most creative/hilarious caption for this photo and I'll pick a winner at the end of next week.

Sarah + Kevin :: Wedding

Thursday, July 17, 2008  |  WEDDINGS

You may remember Sarah and Kevin from their engagement session. Their wedding was coordinated by the wonderfully talented Angie Wright of Chic Details, who helped make the day flow so beautifully. *Note to potential brides... definitely look into hiring an event planner like Angie for your day as they will help alleviate much of the stress from planning your wedding! The cocktail hour and meal tasted incredible and was beautifully presented by the team at Flying Flounder Events. As a photographer, there's nothing quite like working with vendors such as Lyn and Michael of Fresh Affairs! who I can be 100% confident will do an outstanding job with every wedding they are a part of. I could fill a whole blog post about the vendors that Sarah and Kevin had for their day!

Well like I said, I could go on about many of the details, the planning, and how incredible it was to work with a couple like Sarah and Kevin, but you're here for the photos, so without further adieu...

Did I happen to mention how beautifully presented the food was??? I would absolutely shoot this wedding all over again just to be able to taste the meal again... unbelievable.

If you'll notice on the right side of the photo there is a poster of sorts hanging in the tent. Well, Sarah and Kevin had the brilliant idea to have photos from their engagement session enlarged and mounted to hardboard for a gallery feel within the tent. I'll be honest, it was a bit unnerving to see my work displayed on such a large scale, but I absolutely loved this personal touch that made this day special to Sarah and Kevin.

I absolutely love it when couples choose to have a band play for the evening... it's such a classy touch.

Sarah and Kevin, thank you so much for having us capture your day! We wish you the best in your new life together.
