Over the last several months I've been receiving quite a few emails from photographers around the country asking questions about how I got my start in the business, what marketing works best, how to shoot in harsh light, etc. etc. For a while I did my best to respond to those emails and phone calls, but what happened as a result was that I quickly become overwhelmed with answering email after email... they can pile up very quickly! I toyed with the idea of creating a workshop for photographers so that questions could be answered in a group setting, but if you knew me very well, you'd know that I'm not one to speak in front of large groups of people... I'm more one on one.
So instead of creating and leading a workshop where 20+ photographers can attend and learn about marketing, shooting, etc., I decided that I'd offer a smaller version of the aforementioned workshops. So with that said, I'm now introducing a special one on one mentorship/workshop. The way it works is like this (you have two options)...
*** OPTION ONE ***
(1) All day 9a.m.-5p.m. is spent in beautiful Cary, North Carolina, with Andrew covering all things photography. Some photographers desire to know more about the marketing side while others desire to know more about how to shoot in specific circumstances... we cover whatever you feel you need help with most. If you'd rather do an overall and cover all the aspects of your business, we can do that as well!
*** OPTION TWO ***
(2) Not every photographer is physically able to make it all the way out to North Carolina, so we're making video conferencing an option for you! The time is a bit less (up to 2 hours), but is a great way to ask all the questions that are spinning around in your mind without ever having to leave the comfort of your home. As with option one, the topics are up to you since I don't want to blab on and on about what I do... I want to hear and discuss what's on your mind!
If you're interested in setting up a "One to One" session, please call the office or email us to find out what dates are available. I want to make sure that you get everything out of this session that you expect, so I'll send out a few questions beforehand to make sure that we can prepare sufficiently for your session.
I'll have limited availability each month, so call or email to reserve your session!

Well, as much as I hate to see these things go, the time has come. I normally wouldn't post something like this on here, but as there are quite a few photographers who check out this blog I figured someone might be interested.
I'm selling my Nikon D2Xs camera body and Nikon AF-S DX Zoom 17-55mm 2.8 lens. If you're interested, please contact the studio at:
919.607.3182
Both the camera and lens are slightly used, and include all the original packaging, manuals, batteries, strap, etc.
**Nerd alert**
Oh, and in case you were wondering... no, I'm not switching to Canon! Nikon gear rocks. Their cameras and lenses are built like tanks and have never failed me.
**Disclaimer**
Andrew Bryant Photography is not sponsored in any part by Nikon Corporation, or Nikon USA... but would love to speak with the great folks over at Nikon about becoming a spokesman! |

Lauren + Jimmy :: Engagement :: Part II |

Wednesday, August 20, 2008 | ENGAGEMENTS

I know I've said it before, but I absolutely love shooting engagement sessions! Lauren and Jimmy are no exception to this... their engagement session rocked. I could go on about all the awesome things about this couple, but I think you just have to meet them in person to really understand how down to earth and personable they are... so, since you probably won't actually get to meet them, maybe you can beg for an invitation to their wedding!!!
Here's a few of the pics from their session... |

Lauren + Jimmy :: Engagement :: Preview |

Monday, August 18, 2008 | ENGAGEMENTS

| This weekend I headed up to Pennsylvania for Lauren and Jimmy's engagement session. The rain held off just long enough for us to walk around and take some fun shots. I absolutely love these engagement sessions... they allow me to get to know my clients so much better, and they're also more comfortable with me on the wedding day! Lauren and Jimmy are such an awesome couple with great style... we can't wait for their wedding this December. Here's a quick pic from their session... more to come. |
